Sericanthe assimilis Sond. is listed in error in Tropicos and from there it was included in the Plant List. However, such a name has never existed. http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/tro-50331354 I have this on good authority (Elmar Robbrecht, expert in Sericanthe) that this name has never existed. And is probably just a computer error
