50–100 cm hoch. Blätter lanzettlich, fein marmoriert, ganzrandig, bis 8 cm lang. Köpfe endständig, Durchmesser ca. 5 cm. Alle Blüten leuchtend gelb, Zungenblüten am Grund braunrot, ca. 1 cm breit, vorn grob gezähnt.

Rays c. 8, limb oblong-obovate, they and the disc bright yellow. Achenes c. 3 x 3 mm, orbicular in outline, compressed, concave, broadly winged.
