    Stem: bark fissured. Leaf: form of the stipule ovate to orbicular; width of the stipule equal or bigger than 10 mm; indumentum of the leaflet glabrescent/pubescent. Inflorescence: bract(s) persistent. Flower: length bigger than 12 mm; form of the calyx campanulate. Fruit: length of the fruit bigger than 12 cm; length of the spine to 2.5 cm.

    The samaroid fruits are some 20 cm. long, with a basal globular seed-bearing part covered in long spines and a large oblong-falcate wing, from which the style-base arises in the form of a spur from the upper side near the base.
