Morphology

Cormous geophyte, 20-50 cm. Leaves subterete, triangular in section, upper 2 leaves set just below spike. Flowers sessile in elongate spikes, pink, tepals free, styles shortly united, filiform.

    Plants 20-50 cm high; corm tunics brown, papery. Leaves three, the lowermost basal and the upper two set just below the spike, the lower two with slender subterete blades triangular in cross section, the uppermost without a blade and clasping. Flowers sessile in short or long spikes, pink with cherry red nectar guides, tepals 8-12mm long, claws c. 2 mm long, filaments 4-5 mm long, anthers c. 1.5 mm long, styles shortly united below, 1.5-2mm long.
