Morphology

Caulis volubilis, glaber, ad 50 cm longus, ramosus, sparse foliatus. Ramuli 2 imi densius foliati, sed folia a caulinis supernis valde diversa, obovata, c. 15 x 5 mm, ad basin sensim angustata, apice subrotundata, margine irregulariter subrenata vel obtuse dentata; folia ramulorum mediorum oblonga, 10 x 2-3 mm, remote parvi-dentata, subpetiolata; folia caulina ipsa linearia, 15-17 x 2-4 mm, pinnatifido-dentata, plerumque 2 dentes utrinque. Bracteae parum minores foliis similes, fere longiores quam flos. Pedicelli uniflori, solitarii in axillis bractearum, 3 mm longi, puberuli, in medio 2 bracteolis parvis. Calyx subpubescens, turbinatus 5-lobatus: lobi triangulares, integri, erecti, 2 mm longi. Corolla 10 mm longa, fisso-bilabiata, extus intusque glabra: lobi superne lanceolati. Stamina 7 mm longa: filamenta soluta, basi ampliata, puberula; antherae oblongae, stramineae, in nervo dorsali medio pilis paucis munitae. Stylus longitudine staminum, apice capitatus, glaber.
