Morphology

Male flowers: pedicels c. 1 mm long; sepals 5, 3 × 2 mm, ovate, acute, stellate-tomentose without, glabrous within; petals 5, 3 × 1 mm, oblanceolate, obtuse, subglabrous but densely ciliate on the margins; disk glands 5, acute, minute; stamens 10–17, filaments 1.5 mm long and glabrous, anthers 0.75 mm long with a broad connective; receptacle densely white-villous.

    Leaf blades 3–6 × 3–7 cm, 3-lobed, often with additional smaller lobes alternating with the 3 main lobes, all lobes obtuse at the apex, subtruncate at the base with 2 sessile ochreous disciform glands on the lower surface, chartaceous, fulvous-tomentose when young, later sparingly stellate-pubescent on upper surface and more evenly so beneath; 5–7-nerved from the base, lateral nerves 2–4 in the middle lobe, not prominent above, scarcely so beneath.
