General Information

Shrub or tree to 4 m tall; twigs scurfy-tomentose with dendritic-echinoid hairs. Leaves to 25 cm long, elliptic or broadly elliptic, apically acuminate, basally obtuse, glabrate above with scattered simple and dendritic hairs, beneath spar- ingly pubescent with mostly dendritic hairs; petiole ca. 2 cm long; rotund minor leaves often present.
