Branching shrub; branches pubescent; leaves short-petiolate; blades ovate, acute at apex, entire, subcordate at base, roughened with dots or sometimes with hairs above, cinereous and stellate-tomen-tose beneath, especially along the veins; inflorescence axillary and terminal; panicle terminal, often pyramidal and very wide, occasionally double, few [-flowered?], racemose, bracteate at the base, naked above, its branches and sympodia stellate-tomentose; bracts small, foliaceous, subrotund-elliptic, stipitate, obtuse; calyx cylindric, clasping the corolla-tube, pubescent outside and within, its rim 4-toothed; corolla-tube twice as long as the calyx; stamens included.
