Petiole robust, 1-2.5 cm; leaf blade shiny on both surfaces, broadly elliptic or obovate-elliptic, rarely oblong, 8-15 × 4-8 cm, thickly leathery, midvein raised abaxially, impressed adaxially, base rounded or broadly cuneate, apex rounded or emarginate.     Arbustos o árboles, 1–1.5 m de alto, látex amarillo-anaranjado; plantas aparentemente hermafroditas. Hojas elípticas, 12–17 cm de largo y 6–9 cm de ancho, ápice redondeado a emarginado, base aguda a obtusa, nervios laterales mayormente ca 10 por cm; pecíolos mayormente 1–2 cm de largo. Inflorescencias hasta ca 13 cm de largo, casi glabras, flores ca 2 cm de ancho, blancas, pedicelos 1.5–4 cm de largo, aparentemente perfectas.
